Exuviance is the original AHA from NeoStrata Inc, USA, the founder of AHA & PHA Technologies.

Exuviance products are clinically proven to be safe and effective to treat sensitive skin back to normal healthy skin; reverse aging skin back to younger healthier skin; and treat acne prone skin to clear radiant skin.

Dr. Eugene Van Scott, M. D. and Dr Ruey Yu, Ph.D.O.M.D founded the Exuviance range of patented skincare products. They believe that over 50% of all skin problems are due to difficulties in shedding cells of the uppermost skin layers, leading to accumulation of dead cells, clogged pores and dry skin. Their research leads to the discovery of Alpha Hydroxyacids (AHA). These naturally occurring fruit acids encourage the natural process of exuviation which exfoliates older and damaged skin to reveal fresh, younger looking skin. Most Exuviance products contain glycolic acid, which is an alpha hydroxyacid (AHA); gluconolactone, which is a polyhydroxy acid (PHA); or NeoHydroxy^TM Complex, which is a combination of AHAs.

The latest skincare technology to emerge from NeoStrata utilizes Lactobionic Acid, a new polyhydroxy 'bionic' acid. Lactobionic acid is derived from naturally occurring lactose (milk sugar), and can be classified as a complex PHA (polyhydroxy AHA). It is an exciting new ingredient in skin care featuring potent antioxidant and humectant properties. This compound strongly attracts and binds water producing a natural gel matrix. Its unique film forming property provides desirable softness and a velvety smoothness to skin. Lactobionic acid is safe and non-irritating, and provides AHA anti-aging and cell turnover benefits to skin. Its primary use to date has been in medical applications including as an ingredient in preservation solutions for human organs for transplantation. Other than the unique combination of Alpha and Polyhydroxy acids (PHA), Exuviance products also contains soothing botanicals and marine extracts to rejuvenate and moisture skin. With the added ingredients of vitamins, anti-oxidants and sunscreens, skin is protected from harmful environment factors, free radicals and pre-mature aging. This range is also pH balanced for optimum effectiveness. The inclusion of fruit extracts like apple-citrus, mango-vanilla and grapefruit leaves skin feeling fresh and clean.

Regular formula

The regular formula products all contain the AHA glycolic acid as well as the PHA gluconolactone. They are generally recommended for individuals who do not have sensitive skin. These AHA formulations also combine glycolic acid with soothing, protective ingredients - antioxidants, botanicals, vitamins and sunscreens are highly moisturizing.

Sensitive formula

An advanced line of AHA skin care that offers a system for individuals with sensitive skin so that they too can take advantage of all the benefits of AHAs in skin care. Exuviance sensitive skin products are formulated with gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid specifically designed for sensitive skin and previously only available through a physician. These PHA formulations with gluconolactone combined with other soothing, protecting ingredients - antioxidants, botanicals, vitamins and sunscreens are highly moisturizing and exceptionally gentle to the skin.
